FAQs:
Who should attend The Orange Conference?
We’ve designed the conference for entire family ministry teams. We encourage you to not only bring your department, but all interested in a complete strategy for the church. Our offerings touch on subject matter for volunteers, preschool ministers, children’s ministers, student and college ministers as well as senior leadership. Everyone has a place at The Orange Conference.

I’m new to Orange. Would the conference be of benefit to me?
We offer a wide range of workshops, breakouts and information over the course of the conference suitable for those exploring the Orange Strategy, those new to it or seasoned veterans. Bring your team and enjoy!

I’m ready to register for OC13, but can’t remember my username or password. How can I find those?
You won’t need them for your initial registration. So, that’s an easy answer! During the sign-up process, our very smart registration system will take the information about your church’s name and address and see if it matches any other existing accounts in our database. A few clicks from there, and we’ll match you up with the right information!

I would like to bring a group to OC13. How do I get the discount?
For the purpose of the conference, we define groups as 15 people or more. To obtain the discount as well as find out about all the swanky perks that come with it, email [email protected]. If you register a few and then later register more people to achieve groups status, your additions will receive the current groups discount and you’ll still be eligible for all the on-site fun stuff, too.

When will we be able to register for our workshops and breakouts?
We make every effort to post the breakouts and workshops as soon as possible. When they become available, we will send an email to everyone who is registered so that they can begin choosing. Please note that your leader must assign names to the registrations in order for individuals to receive notification and make personalized selections.

How can I specify names and breakouts for the people I'm registering?
We’re going to make it really easy for you to do that. For now, you can either register a block of registrations and assign names later, or you can go ahead and assign specific names to each registration once they’ve been purchased.
Once we post the details about breakout offerings, each person in your group will be able to select which session he or she would like to attend. As a group leader, you will also have the option to assign breakouts on behalf of each individual. You have the power (Insert He-Man voiceover here)!

I’ve bought my ticket, but now I’d like to register for the preconference. How do I do that?
If you are the group leader, all you need to do is log into your existing group reservation (use the button in the upper right of this page—or of any page). Then click on the “Admin” link. Near the top of the next page, you'll see a link for "Ticket Management" - click on that link and look for another link that says “Add Preconference.” If you run into any difficulties, just check in with our customer service using the email address above, and they’ll help you out!

We registered for the conference, but now the person who made all of the arrangements no longer works for our organization. How do we retrieve our tickets and information?
Please contact us at the phone number or email above and we’ll be happy to assist you.

What should I do if a breakout I’d like to attend is full when I register?
Two suggestions on this one:
• Register as soon as possible for the best opportunity to get into your preferred breakouts. And then mark your calendar to register even earlier next year!
• Continue to check back here. We watch the breakout attendance very closely and try to shuffle room assignments around to open up additional spaces. We will not be opening up any waiting lists for breakouts, so you’ll need to be diligent about checking online.

When will my conference ticket be mailed?
We do not mail any tickets. Rather, a few weeks before the event, we will email everyone who is registered to let them know that registration packets are available for download along with printing instructions. Read through all the details, and bring this packet with you to check in.

I would like to know when a certain speaker will be on the main stage. How can I find out?
Sorry, but we do not publish the main stage schedules ahead of time. Each session is going to be great and filled with quality speakers and some fun surprises, so don’t plan on leaving early!

How can I acquire a receipt of my conference purchase?
You should receive an email version of your receipt following payment. If you don’t see it in your inbox within a few minutes, be sure to check your junk folder. If that still doesn’t produce the receipt you’re after, log back into your registration data (use the button in the upper right corner of this screen). Click the “Admin” link, then follow the links for billing information on the next screen. Ta da!

How can I get information about exhibiting at OC13?
We will begin the open application process for exhibitors at The Orange Conference 2013 in late October of 2012. Please direct additional questions regarding exhibit booths or sponsorships to Tracy Polson with Conexus Group.

If I am unable to attend, can I buy audio/video sessions from OC13?

How can I cancel my ticket for OC13?
Do you have discounts or scholarships available to attend the conference?
The discounted and free tickets we offer from time to time will almost always be a part of our current promotion. We really wish we could accommodate all of the requests, but are unfortunately, unable to do so. However, if you really want to attend the conference but do not have funds, we encourage you to consider volunteering. Please see the Volunteer details page for complete information. Additionally, to try and help offset costs for those coming to the event on strained budgets, we also try to help people find host homes to alleviate lodging costs. If you would like us to help you find a host home, please contact [email protected].

I have credits in my account I’d like to use for OC13. How do I do that?
After you log in to purchase your registrations, you should see a link during the payment process that indicates any credit you have available to apply to your purchase. If this does not appear, and you believe that you should have credits available, just check in with our customer service team using the email address above. And please note that while credits may be redeemed for registration, they are not available to be used on-site at the Orange Store.

One of the individuals coming to the conference with our group has a special need (i.e., hearing impairment, wheelchair). Will you be able to accommodate this person’s needs?
Yes! But we can’t prepare for your request if you don’t let us know ahead of time. Our goal is for everyone to show up at OC13 and know that we’ve been planning for them specifically. We are happy to reserve seats for your entire team including a space for a wheelchair. Alternatively, if someone within your group requires seating close to a TV or the stage to read lips, we’ll ensure that happens as well. If you need any type of specialized arrangements in main sessions and/or breakouts, please let our team know, and we will stay in contact about the details to ensure you have a great experience.

We are traveling from a different country and require the use of a translator. What should we do?
We love to see the Orange Strategy go all over the globe, so we welcome groups that need the use of a translator. Because of the requirements that most translators need, we will only be able to accommodate a maximum of five translators at Orange. Here are some of the details involved in translations at Orange:
• We must be made aware of and approve any group that requires a translator at the conference.
• The person doing the translating must be registered to attend, but we will provide a coupon for that person to register for free.
• Your translator will be located in a separate room with access to a video monitor and audio for the main sessions.
• Your team must provide any necessary translation equipment.
• Your translation equipment must be available for our technical crew to test the wireless channels.

Are there networking opportunities at the conference?
While we provide a few structured networking opportunities during the event, we encourage everyone to find the time to meet others during their breakouts/workshops, at mealtimes and during other organic moments over the three days. Dialoging with other church leaders may not only help you to get your questions answered, but will also serve to strengthen the church as a whole. The Orange Strategy hinges on the fact that we must work together and not in silos, which can exist even between other churches and denominations.
